The Challenge
As a new contender in the news and information market, Limestone Post required a web presence that demonstrated both the agility of a modern, digital-age publication, and the stability that comes from being a reputable and respected source of information. The web site required substantial flexibility, as the design needed to adapt based on the stories being published at that time. The system also needed to support multiple authors and editors, as well as interaction from the community at large. As an advertiser-supported web site, Limestone Post also required a robust advertising solution to be built and put in place. Finally, as a digital publication, this web site required a well-crafted mobile experience, as nearly half of the readers visit the site from a mobile device or tablet.
The Solution
Beginning with a thorough discovery phase, we collaborated with Limestone Post to sketch and wireframe a variety of design templates and layouts. After integrating the design with a powerful content management system and database, we provided Limestone Post staff with control to easily switch layouts for each new story. We integrated advertising solutions, community interactivity, and a host of other features to meet the project requirements. By the time Limestone Post was ready for a soft launch, we had built a completely mobile-friendly web presence with powerful archiving functionality.
