Genesis Church

Genesis Church in Bloomington, Indiana was entering a transition season with new leadership. We partnered with their staff to develop a web site that harnesses the power of the modern web, including a fully-mobile interface, iTunes podcast integration, social media implementation, and much more.

The Challenge

Genesis wanted to use their web site to communicate the culture of their church to those who may be visiting for the first time. They also needed the ability to upload sermons and have them automatically upload to iTunes for their podcast.

The Solution

We paired large, full-screen photography with crafted layouts throughout the site to evoke the feeling of joining with the community in person. In addition, a bridge was put in place so that sermons uploaded to the web site are automatically synced with iTunes to keep the podcast up to date.

The Omega Center

The Omega Center is a subscription-based online community striving to facilitate a deepening of consciousness, conversation, and connection revolving around science and faith. The site popularizes the work of Ilia Delio, a Villanova researcher and author who has made significant contributions at the intersection of evolution and theology. We partnered with Ilia and her team to produce a beautiful, compelling web site that uses large photography to evoke a sense of awe and wonder. The site is integrated with a membership system and secure e-commerce solution, allowing the Omega Center to capture recurring payments at a variety of subscription levels while delivering different content to each membership option.

The Challenge

CenterQuest approached August Road in 2011 to design and develop a web presence for the founding of the organization. As an online school, resource center, blog, and community that crosses denominational lines, CenterQuest needed a site designed to capture concepts of mystery, invitation, depth, and meaning while providing robust online delivery of content and restricted materials.

The Solution

August Road provided a number of rounds of custom design with precise updates to capture the desired look and feel. Next, we integrated the design within a content management system so CQ could keep their own site updated into the future. The site makes space for their online offerings, blogs, webinars, and applications, and integrates with their cohort-only student learning system.

The Challenge

Red Door needed a wide variety of media solutions as they started to gather publicly in 2011. As a small congregation, Red Door needed quality design at an affordable cost which represented the organizational style. Designs needed to be frequently and easily updated, and needs ranged from podcasting to print design.

The Challenge

Emerge needed a solution to release video-based lessons to registered students on a pre-determined schedule. The site needed a publicly accessible area to sell the course, collect secure payments, and process registrations, and a back-end area accessible only to registered students. The online school segment of the site required student interactivity, online quizzes, and the ability to release lessons and units at specific times to specific student cohorts.

The Solution

We partnered with Emerge and Catalyst Media to develop a fully-functioning online school with dripped content, user account management, online registration and secure payment options, and interactive discussion forums for student community. The site is completely mobile friendly to allow students to engage video-based content on any device.
